Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using any part of CoopSignal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

CoopSignal provides editorial intelligence on development-finance mechanisms in Latin America and the Caribbean. Content includes eligibility summaries, process timelines, proposal checklists, contact directories, deal examples, and a weekly brief. Some content is free; some is gated behind paid subscriptions.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. Subscriptions + billing

  • Pro and Institutional are recurring subscriptions. We bill through Stripe on the cadence you select (monthly or yearly).
  • Prices are listed in US dollars. Applicable tax is added at checkout via Stripe Tax based on your billing address.
  • You may cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not prorate refunds for partial periods.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers keep their current price until their next renewal.
  • Failed payments may result in your subscription being paused or cancelled.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, mirror, or republish CoopSignal content without written permission.
  • Share paid content with users outside your account (including login sharing).
  • Use the service to harass, spam, or harm third parties.
  • Attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Submit content that infringes intellectual property, contains malware, or violates applicable law.

Violations may result in suspension or termination.

6. Our content

All content on CoopSignal is provided as informational intelligence only. It is not legal, financial, or investment advice. Mechanism terms change frequently — you are responsible for verifying any information with the funder directly before acting on it. CoopSignal makes reasonable efforts to keep content accurate and fresh but makes no guarantee.

7. Your content

Content you submit (project descriptions, profile data, private watchlist notes) remains yours. You grant us a license to process that content solely to operate the service (e.g., passing your project description to Anthropic's model for AI matching). We do not use your content to train models or share it with third parties beyond the processors listed in the privacy policy.

8. Intellectual property

The CoopSignal name, logo, editorial content, compiled data model, software, and design are protected by copyright and trademark law. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the service for your own professional purposes only.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoopSignal and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the account page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if continued service becomes impractical (e.g., payment failures, legal orders). On termination your access ends immediately; deletion of your data follows the retention schedule in the privacy policy.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. If you disagree, stop using the service and, if applicable, cancel your subscription.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Austria. Venue for any dispute is the courts of Vienna, Austria, unless non-waivable consumer protection law provides otherwise.
